Highway Construction Careers Training Program

Courses

Learn about the Construction Career Training Program during this orientation session. Orientation includes a basic education assessment and time for questions and answers. This program trains and prepares individuals for road construction and union apprenticeships. It's a 12-week, free training program. To participate, you must have a valid driver's license, high school diploma transcripts or high school equivalency (transcripts will be required at class), and you must be drug free.

The Construction Careers Training Program works to increase the number of minorities, women and disadvantaged individuals working on Illinois Department of Transportation highway construction projects. The goal is for participants to have the opportunity for a career with high wage potential. This orientation session will be offered in Pembroke. The course will be offered at the Pembroke Library and Kankakee Community College.
