Course Detail: LANG-9002 - Basic Spanish Conversation I
¡Hablemos español! Basic Spanish Conversation I is a fun, practical introduction to Spanish for adults who want to begin using the language in everyday situations. Whether you are learning Spanish for travel, work, family, or personal enrichment, this course focuses on building confidence through useful conversation rather than complicated grammar rules.
Students will learn practical vocabulary and basic conversational skills through topics such as greetings, numbers, family, clothing, shopping, dining out, travel, and everyday activities. Vocabulary will be provided approximately one week before each class so students can become familiar with new words, practice pronunciation, and review meanings before meeting.
During class, students will learn helpful basic grammar concepts while focusing primarily on speaking and interacting in Spanish. Expect plenty of partner practice, small-group conversations, real-life scenarios, and opportunities to speak with both classmates and the instructor.
No need to worry about speaking perfectly-the goal is to communicate, practice, and gain confidence. Come ready to participate, laugh, and learn. For even more fun, sign up with a friend!
