Every four years, United States Citizens have the opportunity to participate directly in the election of the country's President with one winner having the honor of serving in the nation's highest office.This class examines the presidential elections between 1832 and 1856. This era of American History is fraught with sectional tensions; when political parties were created and then abandoned; and when campaigning as we know it today was altogether different. But was it politics as usual?
