Music and art touch every human society. The relationship between music and art can be seen in the influences of all artists. Both art and music have a tendency to lend alliances with words, as in songs and in paintings.Both have the capacity to reflect and influence human emotion. When we experience different types of sounds, they evoke feelings within us. Many artists describe the types of music they listened to while painting and creating. Music and art simply go hand-in-hand. Willie Dixon will lead a discussion in art and music through history. Does art chase music or music chase art? He will discuss folk, contemporary and classical paintings to jazz, Dixieland and classical music.
