Course Detail: LECT-7036 - Hidden History: The Assassination of Lincoln

This class looks at the assassination of President Lincoln. The class begins with a look at US culture in 1865, a brief biography of Abraham Lincoln, and John Wilkes Booth. It then covers the details leading up to the evening of April 14,1865, at Ford's Theater, the capture of Booth and his accomplices, and the funeral procession of Lincoln. The status of Ford's Theatre and the gravesite of Lincoln are also explored.
