Study Abroad...The adventure of a lifetime awaits.

The Art of Italy
Educational Travel
June 5 - June 26, 2018

Take an amazing art-focused trip to Italy! Wander the narrow streets of beautifully intact medieval cities and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views. The trip will focus on the cities of Rome, Venice, and Florence, with day trips to the towns of Ostia Antica, Orvieto, Padua, and Siena. In Rome you will experience the grandeur of the Colosseum and marvel at the Vatican's Sistine Chapel, in Venice stroll into Saint Marks' Cathedral and float down the Grand Canal, and finally in Florence stand in awe of Michelangelo's David and Botticelli's romantic Birth of Venus. And so much more!

This academically focused program will provide students and community travelers a comprehensive examination of Italian art through the centuries, while housed in the cities of Rome, Venice, and Florence. The classes of Art History, Drawing, and Photography will often focus on Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque art and architecture, with additional examinations of ancient art works, primarily in Rome and Ostia Antica.

Note: This trip includes moderate to high degrees of physical activity. Walking tours of multiple miles (some days up to 7 miles), climbing stairs and inclines, uneven walking surfaces, and warm sunny conditions should be expected.
