Instructor: Brad Crossland
No image available Biography: Brad Crossland is a graduate of IPFW with a bachelor's degree in percussion performance. He has been instructing and performing on drumset and percussion since 2005. Brad teaches students of all age groups and ability levels.During his early education, Brad studied under local greats Larry Ford and Kent Klee and was a member of the Homestead High School front ensemble and drumline. While attaining his bachelor's degree, Brad studied under Braham Dembar (now Principal Percussionist for the Indianapolis Sypmhony Ochestra, professor of percussion at Ball State University) and Eric Schweikert (timpanist for the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, Fort Wayne Phil mentor and continuing lecturer in percussion at IPFW). During his time at IPFW, Brad participated in several ensembles, including Percussion Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, Community Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Combo.In the past, Brad has served on the marching band faculty at Columbia City, Heritage, and Homestead high schools. He served as percussionist at the Wagon Wheel Theatre in Warsaw, Indiana, for multiple seasons. From 2009 through 2013, Brad was drummer for the regional dance/party bands What She Said & April's Alibi.Brad now serves as drummer for the original roots rock/funk band Fernando Tarango & the Wickersham Brothers as well as wedding/event band Night to Remember, cover/original band the Jon Durnell Band and percussionist for the eclectic Hope Arthur Orchestra. Brad also performs frequently with the Warsaw Symphony of the Lakes and freelances in the Fort Wayne area.
