REGISTRATION OPENS MARCH 31, 2018. This camp is open to students entering 4th, 5th or 6th grade in Fall 2018.
Students will be guided through engaging activities and collaboration in a supportive environment, starting with choosing a topic, leading into sustained writing time, followed by revision, editing, publishing, and sharing. Students will emerge with a better understanding of the writing process and how and how to use that understanding in a variety of writing contexts.
For more information, visit the Appleseed Writing Project website at www.ipfw.edu/awp, or contact Cheri Pruitt, AWP's Youth Camp Coordinator at (260) 710-3418 or email@example.com.
NOTE: For middle school students, a teacher's note and signature are required.
The 2018 Summer Youth Writing Camps are available to students in grades 4 through 6 and will culminate with an open house reading event where students will present their writings to the public. No previous creative writing experience is necessary - only a desire to write and willingness to participate in the daily activities.
Camps meet at the IPFW Campus with transportation provided by parents or caregivers.
