Course Detail: AHA-3000 - Blended Learning - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - RQI Complete Course

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) builds on the foundation of Basic Life Support (BLS), emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. The instruction and simulated cases in this advanced course are designed to help enhance their skills in the recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute arrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes. HeartCode ACLS through RQI is a blended learning delivery method for the AHA's ACLS Course. HeartCode 2025 ACLS is a self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program that uses adaptive learning technology to allow learners to acquire and demonstrate ACLS skills using a personalized learning path that adapts in real time to a learner's performance and gives learners more control to complete the course at their own pace. . Because of it's adaptive approach learners will usually take need 8.5-11 hours to finish this portion.  Providers may take the course at any time. Providers first complete the online portion of HeartCode ACLS (RQI Part 1) and then when done, contact IHCC to schedule a hands-on skills session with a BLS skills check off (RQI Part 2) which will take approximately 45 minutes.

Schedule: Please Read Before Registering: This course consists of two parts: an online course (Part 1) followed by a hands-on skills assessment (Part 2). Students must successfully complete both parts to receive an AHA course completion eCard.Within 1-2 business days of registration, students will receive an email from the CEWS department with instructions for accessing their online learning portal. Students will also receive an email from "RQI Partners and RQI1Stop" notifying them of their new assignment. Students should use the link in that email to set up their RQI account and complete Part 1. The online portion is self-paced and uses adaptive learning technology, with most students requiring approximately 8.5-11 hours to complete it.After successfully completing Part 1, students should email ashley.hudson@indianhills.edu to schedule Part 2. The hands-on assessment is completed on campus using RQI simulation feedback technology and takes approximately 45 minutes.Hands-on assessments are available Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., excluding College closures and breaks. Students have two months from the date of registration to complete both parts of the course. Upon successful completion of both parts, the AHA course completion eCard will be issued through the student's RQI account.
