T&L 2900: Creating a Positive Classroom Climate

This course is designed to provide an opportunity for teachers of all content areas, grade levels, and years of experience to explore various strategies that can lead to improved teaching and learning. In addition to reviewing the strategies, this course will also allow teachers to collaborate with each other and share strategies that they find beneficial in their teaching practice. Guided by the book, CREATING A POSITIVE CLASSROOM CLIMATE by Jonathan Davis and Maureen Connolly, teachers will review strategies focused on classroom climate, implement one strategy in their practice, reflect on their experience, and share thoughts on their experience and reactions to the reading assignments in online discussions.

This class will be entirely asynchronous, but will allow for collaboration, online discussion, and professional growth and reflection.
