Join OLLI for a memorable fall day in beautiful Traverse City as we explore the historic Village at Grand Traverse Commons. Our adventure begins with a guided tour of the fascinating underground tunnels beneath the former Traverse City State Hospital, where you'll learn about the site's unique history and remarkable transformation. (Please note: the tour includes approximately one mile of walking and some uneven surfaces. Participants are required to sign a waiver for the tunnel tour.) Next, enjoy a guided wine tasting at the award-winning Left Foot Charley Winery, with the option to purchase a glass of your favorite wine to enjoy with lunch. We'll then gather for a delicious catered lunch from the popular Chubby Unicorn. After lunch, you'll have free time to browse the Village's unique boutiques, specialty shops, galleries, cafés, and beautifully restored historic buildings. History, local wine, great food, shopping, and the charm of Northern Michigan come together for a wonderful day with your OLLI friends!
