With the current economic environment, it is impossible to say what will be the "topic of the moment" in six months (weeks, days, etc.), so we're going to leave this one a bit "up in the air." The session will begin with a brief lecture explaining the economic concepts of full employment, strong economic growth rate, and their relationship to changes in taxing and spending policies by the federal government to address common misconceptions on these topics. We will then spend the majority of the time having a conversation on the topics as well as addressing questions from the class. Please email questions to keelliso@svsu.edu ahead of time (if possible) so that the instructor can look into the topics the group is interested in discussing and get the timeliest facts available.
