Course Detail: NUCLEARSCIENCE - Nuclear Science and Sky Theater Trip for Grandpartents and Grandchildren

Interested in nuclear science, or fascinated by the night sky? Then you will want to take this unique summer trip to the MSU campus. Our group will tour the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory (NSCL) and explore the secrets of the atomic nucleus, and discover how nuclear properties can benefit society. Followed by a tour and show at Abrams Planetarium to rediscover the wonders of the universe at Abrams Planetarium. The sky theater features fantastic star shows utilizing a state-of-the-art computer graphics star projector. You will see "Skywatchers of Africa", and see how Africans have used their knowledge of the sky to build their societies, shape their spiritual lives, and meet their physical needs for survival. Your trip package includes a tour of the Cyclotron laboratory, a tour and show at Abrahms Planetarium, lunch at Shaw Hall and motorcoach transportation from SVSU. Cost includes one grandparent and one child.
