Course Detail: MIDTERM - Midterm Political Update

Midterm congressional elections tend to follow a predictable trajectory. The party in power loses seats in the House and Senate, and we have our first informal referendum on the popularity of the president. 2018 presents a somewhat more dynamic perspective to the normal mid-term cycle; the Republican Party has held control of both houses of the legislative branch and controlled the presidency as well. A loss of the House may give rise to symbolic draft of articles of impeachment, while a loss of both the House and the Senate may yield something far more historic. This course will closely analyze key House and Senate races around the nation and make predictions.
