Home Food Preservation - is it for you? When you think of food preservation what comes to mind? Bushels of produce and a long day at the stove? It doesn't have to be that way. Preserving food can be done in a variety of ways, blanching and freezing, dehydrating or the more traditional methods of water bath or pressure canning. All of these methods will allow you a way to control sodium, sugar and portion control.
