Course Detail: ABSTRACTS - Exploring Watermedia Creatively - An approach to Abstracts

Cabin fever is setting in - do you need something fun to do? If you'd love to paint but can't even draw a straight line, then abstracts are for you! In this class, we use realistic imagery to create abstract paintings. It would be helpful but not required to have some painting experience. We utilize photographs, magazines, etc., as our starting point and play with the shapes, colors and lines to make our own one-of-a-kind artwork. This will be pure play time! Students may work in any watermedia they prefer (watercolor, gouache, acrylic, ink, etc.). Stacie Rose will lead the class. She is president of Saginaw Area Watermedia Artists and has an Associate's Degree in Applied Arts.
