More than 8 million people are affected by carpal tunnel syndrome each year. Symptoms vary, but can include decreased hand strength and coordination, complaints of numbness and tingling in the hand, burning sensation, and/or swelling. While severe cases may require surgery, relief can usually be found through more conservative methods such as occupational therapy.
