Tom Wilson, a Michigan history and automotive history buff, has had several vintage cars over the years. Wilson will showcase the variety of automobiles from the period and their unusual features, using illustrations and advertising. Tom discovered a rare booklet, "Automobile Guide and List of Registered Cars 1913 in Central Western Michigan," organized by license plate numbers, auto owners, their addresses, and the manufacturer of their cars. Not surprisingly, the majority were owned by wealthy men, but a number of women also owned autos, many of them electric vehicles. He is an avid collector of Michigan postcards, and has co-authored with his wife, M. Christine Byron, six books on Michigan history focusing on tourism. Tom operates a business creating prints from old Michigan and Great Lakes tourist and travel ephemera.
