Course Detail: WTED840 - Instructional Practices that Promote Student Learning
This 30-hour course meets one day a week for 8 weeks. As a result of this training educators will be able to analyze student assessment data, including both formative and summative assessments to demonstrate all levels of student learning and to inform and adjust instruction; apply instructional strategies that promote and facilitate students' problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, and discourse and encourages them to access content in creative ways; design differentiated learning opportunities aligned with lesson objectives that are grounded in student interests, needs, and backgrounds; and design and implement activities that promote active student technology use.
