At the end of the course participants will be able to detect and correct pool problems including contamination, filtration, disinfection, water balance and heating or air conditioning problems; calculate the amount of chemicals needed to adjust pool contamination or imbalance; take and pass the CPO exam. Participants must pass an examination given at the end of the training to receive a micro-credential, which is valid for a period of five years. .

Participants must pass the examination given at the end of the training to receive their certification, which is valid for a period of five years. Participants who fail the exam can attend one future course free of charge and take the exam again.
