This 45-hour course meets 5 times every other week for 3 hours via live-webinar and in-person, over a 10-week period and for an additional 30 hours online over the same 10-week period. Students who complete this course will be able to model safe practices while working with Photovoltaic (PV) systems; integrate or adapt mechanical and electrical designs for residential and commercial systems; complete the installation of a model system and perform a system checkout, inspection, and troubleshoot any problems that may arise; analyze existing systems and determine appropriate battery- bank size, identify potential problems, and determine appropriate solutions; and create a presentation to include site survey data, components, pricing, system design one-line diagrams This course is the third of three courses in the Solar Installation Certificate Program.??Upon successful completion of the Solar Installation Certificate Program, students may qualify for entry-level positions, including Solar Technician, Solar Systems Installer, Solar Sales Representative, or Solar Maintenance Technician.
