Course Detail: WTCL220 - Introduction to Home Energy - 3 hours

This 3-hour course meets on one day, in-person or via Zoom. At the end of this training students will be able to identify basic home energy concepts and make more informed energy choices when designing and constructing a home.

For those with contractor licenses in Utah, this teaches the critical factors affecting energy performance in the home and is taught by a code inspector. If the course is taken via Zoom, DOPL rules require that students be visible on webcam throughout the length of the class.

This course meets Utah Department of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL) requirements for:
  • Contractor Core Hours- 3
  • Contractor Professional Hours- 3
  • This course also meets DOPL's 1-hour requirement for energy conservation.
