Pinellas Technical College offers third party testing contracted through the state for customers to obtain all CDL license classes.

 If you are unsure of which test to register for, please call Pinellas Technical College (727-893-2500 ext. 2555) or email us. Refunds will take several weeks to be processed and remittance is in the form of a check. 

1. You MUST call the CVD office first (727-893-2500 ext. 2555) to provide permit information. Without this information you will not be tested!

2. Select the CDL Driving Test A, B, or C course

3.Select the date and time you were provided and pay for the use of a PTC vehicle (if needed)

4.Make your payment

5.Download your study guides found under "Resources"

6.Call the office and provide permit information. Without this information you will not be tested. 

7.Prepare for your CDL exam you will need your Driver's license, Permit, DOT physical, registration or insurance. 

8.If you haven't called in your permit information do so now. 

For those using a Pinellas Technical College vehicle for their exam, the PTC vehicle used for the CDL Driving Test A exam is 10 speed manual only. And, the PTC vehicle used for the CDL Driving Test B exam is automatic only. 

All test vehicles/trailers provided by the customer must be empty and free of products, liquids, etc.

If you are bringing your own test vehicle, come onto the range, stop at the blue barrel, and enter the office to find out where to park. ALL other vehicles must park in the student parking lot. 

*Please note, cancellations must be made within 5 business days from the day an order is placed to qualify for a refund. All refunds will be issued less a $56.75 service fee. All refunds will be issued in the form of a check, and not electronically returned to any credit/debit/gift card. Please allow 45 days for refund requests to be processed.
