Course Detail: HEACE - Heavy-Equipment - Advanced Construction Excavation
This high-tech, equipment-specific course utilizes hybrid training for students to learn the essential skills needed to safely and effectively operate a medium-sized tracked CaterpillerŪ Hydraulic Excavator. Students go from zero-to ready with a combination of hands-on training in CaterpillarŪ Simulators and self-paced online curriculum. Operational techniques and training exercises for this machinery include:
- Machine Dynamics & Maneuvering
- Hoisting Objects, Trenching & Pipe installation
- Clearing Debris, Digging Footings & Bench Loading
- Practice Sessions in Simulator & Virtual Environment
- Competency Quizzes & Skill Tests
*Despite advertised start/end times and listed schedule, this course is open for enrollment from July 2022 until June 2023.
