Biography:

Michael Egan is alicensed acupuncturist in Minnesota practicing at the Penny George Institutefor Health and Healing. He graduated summa cum laude with a master's degree inOriental Medicine from the Minnesota College of Acupuncture and OrientalMedicine at Northwestern Health Sciences University. 

After graduation, hecompleted a Certificate of Study at Tianjin University of Traditional ChineseMedicine in China where he also studied tai chi. Michael completed the Whitfield Reaves Sports MedicineAcupuncture Apprenticeship and has done integrative oncology certificationthrough Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Michael has beenpracticing and teaching martial arts for over 20 years. He is a certifiedteacher of the 8 active ingredients of tai chi by Dr. Peter Wayne author of"The Harvard Medical School Guide to Tai Chi."

He has lecturedon and taught tai chi and qi gong for Allina Health, Northwestern HealthSciences University and in the corporate setting.

Michael is theco-founder of the Penny George Institute's Transforming Pain Shared Medicalvisit where he currently teaches tai chi and qi gong for chronic pain.
