Course Detail: YES-9003 - (1 p.m.-4 p.m.) BEEyond the Hive! Science & Creativity Camp (Grades 3-6)

In this engaging, hands-on class, students explore the fascinating world of bees while building a strong connection to science and the environment. Learners develop essential bee vocabulary, examine the parts of a bee, and investigate bee life cycles through interactive, age-appropriate discussions. Creativity and problem solving come together as students build a 3D paper bee model and participate in a pollinator game that demonstrates how pollination helps plants grow and produce food. Students also explore how honey is made, learn about the role of beeswax, and discover why bees are essential to healthy ecosystems. The class concludes with hands on activities where students create beeswax modeling clay and edible honey slime.
