There is so much to learn from nature in our backyard! This class hopes to inspire your creativity and excitement for the outdoors by drawing from nature just outside our classroom doors! Here, students will learn about local wildlife by creating art inspired by them. On our outside excursions you'll draw inspiration from what you see, and maybe even collect a few leaves, acorns, pinecones, and more that you can include in your projects! The final product will be a full representation of the ecosystem around you with leaf rubbings, twig frames, and pictures of the animals you connect with the most.

Geometry and art collide in a class focused on the art of Piet Mondrian, Paul Klee, Carmen Herrera, and more to see how they used simple squares, circles, rhombuses, and triangles in a way that conveyed deeper meaning. In this class, students will learn how to create dynamic compositions through paint, paper, and fabric' building your unique narrative up piece by piece!

Come join us for collaborative storytelling and adventure through Dungeon and Dragons (D&D). D & D is a tabletop role?playing game that combines storytelling, imagination, problem?solving, and teamwork. During the course, participants work together to create characters and embark on guided adventures in a shared fantasy world led by a trained facilitator (Dungeon Master). Through collaborative gameplay, participants make decisions, solve challenges, and shape the outcome of the story.

In this hands?on class, students get to explore fiber arts from many different cultures. Through fun, simple projects like finger loop braiding, weaving, felting, knotting/crocheting, knitting, and cross stitching, students learn how people in the past created everyday items and artwork using natural materials. No experience is needed, just curiosity and imagination! Students will build new art skills, learn about different cultures, and gain confidence while enjoying the experience of making something with their own hands.

Ready to learn how the stock market really works?Junior Investors introduces students to the basics of investing through fun, hands?on activities. Students will explore how the stock market moves, learn to spot simple trends, and practice choosing strong companies to "invest" in. We'll also take a closer look at ideas like support and resistance, and students will learn how to think about risk compared to possible rewards. Learn how to read stock charts, understand what makes a company valuable, and follow real market activity in real time, then using virtual money, students will make practice trades, track results, and build smart decision?making strategies in a safe and supportive environment. One of the most defining features of any character is their face. Faces can convey so much personality, depth of emotion, and personal history in one relatively small area. In this class, we will be exploring the many ways to express faces through a variety of art mediums ranging from drawing, air-dry clay, painting, and collage/found object sculpture. You'll learn basic anatomical principles to create with greater realism, then develop an understanding abstraction of the face in a way that still remains the major elements of the character.

In Hot Wheels: Race to Win, students kick off Week 1 by mastering the fundamentals of motion, exploring how gravity and Newton's Laws interact with various track surfaces. Week 2 shifts the focus to "Speed By Design," where campers dive into aerodynamics and visual aesthetics to understand the forces that keep a car pinned to the track. The experience culminates in Week 3 with a high-octane competition, challenging participants to integrate every concept they've learned to build the ultimate track for distance, speed, and safety. In this class, we'll practice yoga poses, stretching, breathing, and relaxation while learning how to focus, manage stress, and feel confident in our bodies. Yoga isn't about being perfect, it's about trying, growing, and feeling good inside and out.

If you love the game Minecraft and always wanted to design your own world, this class is for you! Learn how to create a custom map, design structures to share between worlds, build with Redstone and Command blocks, and create custom textures for you to import at home or share with friends. Projects from this class require the Java version of Minecraft. Tablet, phone, and game console versions of Minecraft are not compatible. Returning students can create more advanced projects that build on previous years. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.


October 17, 2026 to November 14, 2026, Millennium Center Room 2103
Unlock the power of Roblox® Studio, the world creation tool used by real-world Roblox® developers! Learn how to build 3D models and create an adventure in your Roblox® world. Bring characters to life with unique animations you design. Student-created projects will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

Join us for a fun and not too spooky Halloween themed class! Children are invited to explore the playful side of Halloween through hands on crafts, interactive games, imaginative storytelling, and movement activities. Activities are designed to be age appropriate, inclusive, and focused on fun rather than fear.
