Course Detail: EMT-4000 - Paramedic

The Paramedic program prepares individuals to use critical thinking skills to provide advanced medical treatment and transportation under medical oversight for patients with illness or injury-related disease. The Paramedic provides both emergent and non-emergent advanced medical care for patients, performing skills in a variety of possible settings including pre-hospital, emergency departments, critical care units and cardiac catheter labs. This course includes didactic, lab/simulation, clinical, field and a capstone experience to accomplish its goals. This program is nationally accredited and follows the most current National EMS Education Standards.
