This program introduces the modality of mammography and describes the roles and responsibilities of a mammographer. Radiographic imaging of the breast will be discussed. Topics of study include anatomy of the breast, recommended guidelines for mammography, the mammographic equipment utilized and quality control measures conducted to assure quality examinations. Students will complete a variety of learning activities in this on-line program. Students will have 12 weeks to complete the course.
