Course Detail: CNA-1100 - CNA Registry Skills Examination

Students who successfully pass both the State CNA Registry written and skills exams will be placed on the Iowa Direct Care Worker Registry, making them eligible to work as a CNA in a long-term care center. Any individual may challenge the CNA exams. IHCC offers the CNA Skills Registry Examinations on Fridays, typically once per month. All students must be pre-registered and pre-paid, no walk-ins will be allowed for the exam. Students will be contacted by email during testing week and given their specific time to report. Students who arrive early should remain in Room 155 of the Advanced Technology Center until their designated time. Students must bring a state or government-issued photo ID, something to write with and have their social security number available, which is required for the state.
