Course Description:
This course provides students with essential tools to solve real-life ethical problems in nonprofit organizations and local governments. The course prepares participants to navigate complex ethical challenges in public service. It emphasizes integrity, accountability, and the development of ethical decision-making skills. Participants explore leadership theories and apply them to real-world scenarios in government and nonprofit settings. This course looks at ethics and leadership from an organizational and systemic level while applying learning to normative questions and case studies.
Micro-credential students will participate alongside degree-seeking students and are expected to actively engage in all course activities and assessments. The course is graded on a pass/fail basis, and earned micro-credentials may be applied toward academic credit if you later enroll in a Governors State degree program.
