Course Description: Forklift Operation and Safety

Learn how to operate a forklift safely! This four-hour training begins with classroom instruction, followed by hands-on experience maneuvering a forklift. Receive one-on-one instruction from a live trainer, and gain confidence in your forklift skills through practical drills.

Forklift operator certification cards will be distributed in class upon satisfactory completion.

Please bring a valid state driver's license or state ID card to class. This training is available to those 18 and older.

Greg Hipkins

Biography: Greg has a degree in mathematics from UC Santa Barbara and a Career Technical Education teaching credential. He has 30 years of experience in the contractor and carpenter trades, where he also spent time teaching high school courses focusing on construction technology. Currently, Greg is the construction pre-apprenticeship program administrator at Central Oregon Community College.

Students must cancel by contacting our office via phone: (541) 383-7270 or email: ceinfo@cocc.edu. Cancellations received 5 days prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund. Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash. Failure to participate in a course or program does not result in a refund. Exceptions to the general refund policy are noted in the course descriptions on our website and in the printed schedule.
