Have you been dreaming of starting a podcast but don't know where to start? Whether you want to grow your business, share your expertise, or tell amazing stories, this 3-session online course will give you the tools to plan, record, edit, and launch your own show.

This course is designed for small business owners, content creators, and entrepreneurs who want to start a podcast that stands out.

Class 1: Finding Your Podcast Identity & Recording Essentials
- Define your podcast's niche, audience, and format (solo vs. guests)
- Choose a podcast name, tagline, and episode structure
- Intro to recording: Choosing a microphone, optimizing sound, and recording a podcast trailer

Class 2: Editing, Hosting & Interviewing Techniques
- Overview of editing software & sound quality tips
- Podcast hosting platforms & distribution (Spotify, Apple, etc.)
- Writing engaging episode titles & descriptions
- Recording a podcast trailer or intro episode
- Interviewing Techniques: Booking guests, structuring interviews, asking engaging questions, and handling difficult guests

Class 3: Marketing, Growth & Monetization (with Optional In-Person Q&A)
- Podcast marketing strategies: SEO, social media & email lists
- Scripting vs. improvisation, batching content, and staying consistent after launch
- Monetization basics: Sponsorships, affiliate marketing & listener support
- Share your podcast concept and get feedback from the group

Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash. Failure to participate in a course or program does not result in a refund. Exceptions to the general refund policy are noted in the course descriptions on our website and in the printed schedule.
