Course Description: Thai Massage

Fundamentals of traditional Thai massage and its applications will be explored. Advanced techniques will be practiced using traditional methods and their applications. Students should have the ability to kneel and move around comfortably in this position. Course learning outcomes: discuss the history of Thai massage, recognize cautions and contraindications to Thai massage, demonstrate basic Thai massage applications in supine, prone, side-lying and seated position, model proper body mechanics using Thai techniques, demonstrate a 60 and 90 minute Thai bodywork sequence, and identify ten Sen lines. Required Materials: loose, comfortable clothing. Recommended Preparation: Licensed Massage Therapist or have equivalent core competencies in massage therapy. This course combines experienced professionals with advanced students, enhancing learning for both.

Schedule: Register for course by 9/18/25. This is an in-person course beginning on 9/22/25, ending on 12/14/25. In-person class meetings on the Bend campus (HCC rm 170) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8:50pm (no class on 11/11, 11/27).

Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC.
