This course will support educators in their first year ofteaching at West Fargo Public Schools. Educators will engage in practices thatsupport learner learning and educator knowledge. Classroom management posesmany challenges for new educators and a focus on CHAMPS will be reviewed anddiscussed at each class. Educators will also be given time to network withother new educators, build relationships, and learn about WFPS's instructionalpractices to enhance their instruction. Educators will increase their knowledgeof getting started in teaching, technology, formative assessment, conferences,report cards, MTSS, and engagement. Educators will be trained usingcollaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity that will carryinto the classroom. Instructional strategies will encourage engagement and 21stCentury learning in the classroom while aligning curriculum based on the NorthDakota State Standards.
