COUN 2900: ASCA Professional Training Year 1

This course provides a comprehensive, districtwide professional development experience designed to help school counselors implement the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model. Through a combination of in-person workshops, applied assignments, and reflective collaboration, participants will design, implement, and evaluate a data-informed school counseling program that supports academic achievement, career readiness, and social-emotional growth for all students.

Over the year, participants will engage in three full-day workshops led by ASCA trainers and will complete applied assignments that connect directly to their daily work as school counselors. The course culminates in the completion of a comprehensive counseling portfolio demonstrating fidelity to the ASCA National Model and evidence of student impact.
