Introduction to Workplace Safety (R)

Welcome to the Introduction to Workplace Safety course. This self-paced course will help you recognize common safety hazards in the workplace and introduce you to basic concepts of safety management. This course is a high level overview of workplace safety. Additional training is necessary to manage a workplace safety program in the workplace. This course will discuss: Workplace safety and health program components, Safety and health regulatory requirements, Overview and considerations for many safety hazards, Methods to provide a safe workplace. Course Objectives: Upon completion of this course, you will be able to: Demonstrate knowledge of components of workplace safety programs and methods to keep workers safe in the workplace. You will apply this knowledge by completing lesson quizzes and example exercises. In addition, this course will prepare you for future course work required to complete the University of Alabama's Occupational Health and Safety Certificate Program.
