Wednesday, November 4, 2026, The Facility for Outreach, Research, Training & Education (FORTE)

This three-day course is designed to train individuals to discover, sample, assess and document asbestos-containing building materials (ACBM) in buildings. Techniques which focus on compliance with U. S. EPA regulationsare emphasized. This course is required for accreditation as an Asbestos Inspector in the State of Alabama.

In this two-day Management Planner course, participants are taught how to evaluate and interpret asbestos inspection results. Methods for assessing asbestos-containing material (ACM) risks and selecting appropriate response actions are presented. A model format for developing an Asbestos Management Plan is introduced and discussed.,

Asbestos Operations and Maintenance (O&M) training is designed for personnel who work in environments where asbestos-containing materials (ACM) may be present and could potentially be disturbed during routine maintenance or emergency repairs. This training, often called Class III or Operations and Maintenance (O&M) training, ensures workers understand how to safely manage ACM and minimize exposure risks.

July 29-30, 2026, The Facility for Outreach, Research, Training & Education (FORTE)

This course meets the special requirement of Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) regulations related to training of School AsbestosCoordinators (local educational agency designees).
