Medical marijuana was approved by the Michigan voters in 2008. Since then, the acceptance of marijuana use has changed significantly. In addition, marijuana itself has changed and more studies have been done on the effects of marijuana, both positive and negative. In this class, we will discuss the medical marijuana regulations, the different chemicals inside marijuana, methods of ingestion, and how they act inside the body. If Proposal  1 (recreational marijuana) passes in November, laws related to that will also be presented. The information will allow students to make informed decisions about marijuana.
