In the winter session we will continue our review of the The Great Courses lectures on "Death, Dying and the Afterlife." Now that we have a working knowledge of the various religious and cultural variations on the topic, we can move into some of the more controversial topics on the subject. We will address more challenging issues such as suicide, euthanasia, capital punishment, war, near death experience, etc. These and other topics should lead to some very expansive conversations.
