Course Detail: WTAE150 - Applied Emissions - Practicum

This two-hour in-person lab class instructs emissions students on how to operate and maintain the Applus+ Utah2011 emission Analyzer System and properly transmit data to the Salt Lake County Health Department. The lab takes place at the Miller Campus in Sandy. There is no additional charge for this class. As the conclusion of this lab, students will be able to operate the Applus+ Analyzer System to perform consistent, uniform inspections. They will also learn how to perform routine calibrations, periodic checks, and maintenance procedures per the manufacturer's requirements and recommendations, and to transmit data to Salt Lake County's Vehicle Information Database (VID).
