Course Detail: PDET140 - Instructor Institute Online

This course includes 4 hours of online content and 4 hours of check-in calls with a mentor instructor. As a result of this training, participants will be able to identify potential industry partners to develop work-based learning program element, explain the high-level elements/benefits of work-based learning (risk, tasks, mentoring, feedback), identify strategies to recruit & retain students from diverse backgrounds, apply principles of equity and inclusion to learning spaces, and explain the significance of digital accessibility in student-facing online content.

Schedule:

This session is an online, asynchronous course that will take 8 hours total to complete. To receive the micro credential, you must attend 4 hours of coaching office hours that are offered by Emily Huillet. She will be holding these sessions at 2pm on Thursdays from June 25th through August 13th. If you can't ever make these times, please let Emily know at ehuillet@slcc.edu and she will schedule make up sessions for you. For the other 4 hours, you must complete online training provided on Canvas.
