Course Detail: WTCI100 - Vacuum Infusion Composite Technician

This 24-hour, in person and online hybrid course gives students a broad introduction to the world of advanced composites, with a focus on carbon fiber reinforced epoxy systems. Apply safety habits and prevent hazards in the workplace; fabricate a composite part using vacuum infusion and vacuum bag techniques; apply operating procedures by interpreting part travelers; discuss advanced composite manufacturing topics by applying industry vocabulary; evaluate scientific principles related to composite materials. 40% of the class is online lectures, and 60% will be in person labs, with 3 labs total.

Schedule:

This course will be completed at your own pace. Starts 08/01/25 and must be completed by 08/31/25. Online content can be accessed anytime on Canvas. Lab hours will be scheduled directly with the instructors Monday through Friday 8am to 6pm.
