Course Detail: WTED820 - Professional Responsibility as an Educator

This 15-hour course meets 1 day a week for 8 weeks. As a result of this training students will be able to explain the importance of complying with relevant school, district, and state laws, rules and policies governing the profession, reflect on teaching strategies to enhance effectiveness and student outcomes after participating in professional learning opportunities, outline effective communication strategies with students, administration, parents, and colleagues about student learning that secures student data and respects confidentiality related to student data, identify sources of student data at the classroom, building, and district level that can inform teaching practice and explain how to keep data secure.
