This 16-hour course is presented in-person and typically takes two weeks to complete. As a result of this training the participant will be able to describe the current rules and requirements for conducting and reporting a heavy-duty vehicle safety inspection, including Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) safety rating; demonstrate proper use of inspection tools; complete a practical evaluation of inspection procedures; and describe the various systems and requirements needed to meet inspection standards. Completion of this course qualifies participants to apply for their Vehicle Inspection Certification from the Utah Department of Public Safety.???
