Course Detail: WTCA100 - AutoCAD Fundamentals

This 48-hour course meets twice a week over an eight-week period. Participants develop the foundational skills needed to use AutoCAD tools to create technical drawings. Through hands-on application, participants learn to navigate the AutoCAD interface and utilize fundamental drawing commands and techniques to create 2D drawings. As a result of this training participant will be able to apply basic drafting techniques to create 2-dimensional mechanical and architectural drawings; draw with accuracy using tool icons, shortcut commands, and menus; insert existing content into new drawings; and manage viewports, layouts, printing, and plotting settings. This course qualifies participants for an industry-standard Certificate of Completion from Autodesk.
