Course Detail: WTAU160 - Instrumentation
This 32-hour course introduces the fundamental principles needed to understand integrated control systems with a VFD, PLC, motors, and HMI. As a result of this training students will be able to create and document external PLC interfaces using switches and relays, demonstrate practical transistor use by creating Diode, NPN, and PNP IO interfaces to a PLC, assemble voltage and current IO interfaces using PLC expansion modules with Studio 5000 integration, solder simple circuits and build simple cables, and interpret documents & prints describing various industrial control circuits.
