This 20-hr in-person training meets 2.5 hours per week. As a result of this training, participants will be able to recommend an effective comprehensive water conservation plan for a facility; establish a facility water use baseline for interior and exterior uses; calculate water savings (gallons & dollars) from retrofits and their impact on sewer and energy use; use metering to monitor consumption and detect leaks; apply evapotranspiration (ET) data to calculate irrigation requirements; and illustrate basic irrigation design and maintenance strategies.
