Course Detail: WTEM210 - Industrial Energy Efficiency
This 30-hour course meets for 8-weeks for 3.75 hours per week. As a result of this training, students will be able to determine the safety principles and techniques required for data collection at various industrial customers, market sectors, and segments; estimate load, power, and energy calculations for demand side systems to explain risks and potential rewards of energy supply-side options; explain the basic concepts and applications of common types of industrial heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems and alternative generation sources; explain the various industrial applications for rotary equipment including compressors, pumps, fans, and their numerous sub-categories or types; and determine reasonable application of industrial lighting systems and various types of energy consuming and producing systems.
