Course Detail: WTCL045 - Fall Prevention Safety - 3 hours

This 3-hour workshop meets once. Students who complete the workshop will be able to identify OSHA requirements and best practices for the use of fall protection when working from heights. Falls from heights are the most frequent cause of death in the construction industry and accounts for roughly 35% of all construction-related fatalities. The lack of fall protection measures is a top-three most cited OSHA violation. This course addresses OSHA requirements as it relates to safely working from heights; the most common mistakes that lead to injuries and fatalities; best fall prevention practices; and safe use and set-up of ladders and scaffolding.
